Polygons and Circles

A new math unit begins today in fourth grade: polygons and circles. Students will construct and find the perimeter of polygons. Through guided exploration the students will generalize what they have learned about polygons to develop an understanding of circles and the relationship of their diameter to their circumference. Students will also extend their understanding of circles to allow them to read and understand circle graphs.
