Writing a Business Letter

We will be writing a business letter in writing class later this week. Mrs. Ledvina and I want to be sure that this is a real-life learning experience so we are asking that your child bring in the address of a food product so that he/she can write the company. Mrs. Ledvina did this project when she was a little girl in Mrs. Clark's class. About seven years ago I did this as part of social studies (again with the encouragement of Mrs. Clark). Each time the project was a great success! Most of the companies wrote back to the children and many of the companies sent samples of their products. Things have changed in the past few years with the progression of the internet and email, but a lot can be learned (and received) from writing a good old-fashioned business letter.
