The last day of school always leaves me with a melancholy feeling. I am proud of the gains my students have made through out the year, worried that they won't read over the summer and relieved that we all made it through the year safely.
Parents, I want to say thank you for trusting me with your child here at school. I take learning very seriously and have been known to be strict about nightly reading and completing homework. In the long run I think that most children are able to appreciate the strength it stays to stick with the plan. May your child retain much of his/her fourth grade learning and flourish in the future.
Kids, see you in summer school or in the fall of 2010!
