What We've Been Doing

In language arts we are up to the Problem Solvers theme. We have studied be verbs, writing an opinion, the suffix -ible meaning "worthy of" and much more. The first story we read was My Name is Maria Isabel. Next week we will read Marven of the Great North Woods.
On Monday we will do lesson 4 Estimating Products of unit 3 Multi-Digit Multiplication.
In social studies we read chapter 9 in our Wisconsin Journey book entitled Good Times and Bad Times. The past two Fridays students were put into small groups and played a specified game such as Scrabble, Buzzword, Scrambled States of America or Monopoly. Each group had to explain and demonstrate how to play the game.
We are up to Lesson 19 in keyboarding and will learn n and w.
We will do page 68 and 69 in our handwriting book next week.
