Quarter 4 Starts Monday, April 6th

A brand new quarter starts Monday. That means six Accelerated Reader tests for students, mastering long division with remainders, reading the Problem Solvers Theme, preparing for our Madison field trip and catalog economics plus writing activities and a spelling bee with Mrs. Winters and learning science concepts with Mrs. Ledvina.
Quarter #4 is important. It's your child's chance to prove to his/her teachers that she/he is ready to be promoted to fifth grade.
Parents please don't shirk your duties. Ask your child about homework. Remember that he/she should be reading 20 minutes nightly and recording the title of the book in the agenda. You, the parent, should sign the agenda book on a daily basis. I don't have to tell you that children notice when parents are paying attention. It heightens the child's awareness of learning and shows him/her that you care about learning.
Let's make Quarter #4 a wonderful, enriching learning time.
