Fourth graders are in the middle of the City Planning project. Students will receive two grades for this project. One grade for an electronic city that they prepare on the Sim City game and another as a member of a small group drawing out the plans for a small city on paper.
This week we read the book Sarah, Plain and Tall and watched the video. Our read aloud book is The Sea of Monsters which is the second book in the Perseus Jackson series by Rick Riordan.
We started long division this week in math. The family letter went home on Monday to explain the different methods that students learned. We have decided to stick primarily with the digit-by-digit method.
Mrs. Winters are working on spelling words and writing creative stories based on illustrations by Chris Van Allsburg.
Mrs. Ledvina's science involves classifying living things.
