New Math Unit Begins Today!

Today fourth grade beings unit 3 - multiplication with larger numbers in our Math Expressions book. In order for students to move through this lesson they must know their basic math facts. Although we pull out all of the bells and whistles here at Necedah Schools with math computer games and drills still some students do not know their basic facts. That means parents must help at home a little with flash cards or something similar that can be done verbally. This can be done while traveling or waiting at the doctor's office. When I was on vacation in the Dominican Republic over Christmas one mom was playing a math game at the pool with her family. The kids were lovin' it! Have some fun with your kids with mathematics.
