We read the story Akiak this week and took an Accelerated Reader test on the story. We worked on vocabulary, story mapping, story structure, making adjectives by adding -er and -est, long and short vowels a and e, kinds of sentences, and capitalization and punctuation.

In math we worked on multiplying 3s and 4s. We learned how to make fast arrays and practiced determining factors and products.

Social studies included investigating the five regions of Wisconsin and the four factors that determine the climate of a place. We reviewed landforms and the difference between conifers and deciduous trees.

Fourth graders started keyboarding this week with a review of home row.

The students finished the alliterations in writing. In science the students were exploring the question, "What is air and how does it move?"
