Assessments

Assessment is a fancy word for test. Quite often your child will be tested on various skills and concepts in 4 SUPER H. We do a lot in the classroom to prepare students for tests, however it is important that for some tests the child must do a little studying at home. This is especially true for science and social studies. Students are usually given study guides. If not, the teacher certainly reminds the class of the sections of the textbook or study notes that are important to remember for the test. Tests are an important tool. They help the teacher to determine grades for the report card and if more time needs to be given to a concept or skill. They also help the child in gaining valuable knowledge for success in the future.
